Six pieces, made to be worn out.
It started with a wardrobe full of clothes nobody wore
Half the things in the closet were bought for one occasion, or one season, or one photograph. The pieces actually worn were the plain, heavy, boring ones — bought eight years ago and still going.
So we set out to make only those. Six pieces, in the heaviest cotton we could source, cut so they go with whatever else you already own.
Heavy fabric, or nothing
Most fast fashion is thin because cotton is the expensive part. We go the other way: 240gsm jersey for the tees, 450gsm brushed fleece for the hoodie, 12oz waxed cotton for the jacket. Heavy fabric drapes properly, survives hundred of washes, and does not go transparent under a light.
It also costs more. A tee at $38 is not cheap — but it is cheaper than four $12 tees that lose their shape by August.
Made in runs of two hundred
Everything is cut and sewn by a family workshop outside Porto, in runs of about two hundred pieces. Small enough that they can check every seam. Large enough that we can keep the six pieces in stock most of the year.
When a run sells out, it takes about four weeks to restock. We will email you if you ask to be notified.
Free repairs for three years
If a seam splits, a hem drops, or a cuff wears through within three years, send it back and we will repair it — free, including return postage inside the US. We would rather mend one garment than sell you a replacement.
This applies to everything we make, no receipt needed. We can find your order from your email address.
Wholesale
We work with a small number of independent shops. Minimum order is 24 units per style at 50% of retail. Get in touch with your store name and location.
Six pieces
A tee, a hoodie, a jacket, trousers, a cap and socks. No seasonal drops, no one-off colourways.
Heavyweight only
240gsm and up. If a fabric feels thin in the hand, it does not go into production.
Repaired, not replaced
Free repairs for three years on everything. About one in twelve customers use it.
